The British Basketball Play-Off Finals is held in the spectacular arena at The O2 in London and is be the biggest event in the British Basketball calendar. WilkieTV provided multi-camera Sports Presentation to enhance the audience experience to a crowd of over 17,000.

WilkieTV provided live video, Sports Presentation and IMAG for the entire event using one of our live 'fly-away' Portable Production Units - replicating the features of a traditional broadcast OB truck but in a single, portable rack-mount system. The feed was shown on four large LED screens hung above court centre, and piped around the arena to VIP areas and bars.

Working alongside the BBL events and media teams, WilkieTV assisted with the audience engagement and sports presentation aspect of the day. Two wireless ENG cameras with operators were used around the venue to drive fan interaction and competition elements. Live graphics, game elements and VTs were mixed in with the live camera content. The LED screens were also used to show the 'world feed' courtesy of BBC Sport.

Our camera operators were able to follow the action, moving freely about the court to capture the proceedings from tighter angles than possible from the courtside. This was particularly well used during timeouts, breaks and half-time where the close up camerawork allowed the crowd to really feel part of the entertainment on display.
