TEDMedLive from Imperial College London

Wilkietv provided a multi-camera live setup to capture the day’s speeches, mixing the event live using the latest in Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E video equipment. The event was part of a TED Talks event held at Imperial College London themed around medicine.

In this excerpt from the hours of content produced on the day, popular pickpocket, magician and hypnotist James Brown explains that for years the concept of hypnosis and suggestion has been shrouded in an unnecessary air of mystery. He highlights the power of belief in, not just the medical profession, but in our every day lives and how our perception of belief can be distorted. ‘Belief is the single most powerful thing that we have. It can transform people, change views of the world and alter science.’

Wilkie TV’s involvement in the day included providing lighting, sound and video capture for the event. We supplied a lighting system comprised of two Manfrotto stands, Source 4 lights, dimmers and a control desk, plus some LED uplighters for extra effect.

This was in addition to our 4 camera HD rig capturing the event from every angle and mixed live from an adjacent control room.
