Netball London Live 2015

March 7th saw Netball London Live return to the Copper Box Arena, London with a sell out crowd. Netball Superleague teams Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks battled it out to see Storm win 54-42.

Collaboration between Surrey Sports Park, Sports Presentation and WilkieTV allowed a wealth of skills and technology to be brought together on the day.

We were committed to deliver an interactive, engaging experience for the 6,000 fans at Netball London Live and WilkieTV played a huge role in the successful delivery of our sports presentation package. Claire and the team provided a professional, cost effective and creative solution for live broadcasting, pre-recorded and in-event edited VTs and crowd engagement such as Bongo/Kiss cam.

Matt Burton, Head of Marketing and Communications at Surrey Storm Netball

The event required the use of WilkieTVs custom designed and built ultra-portable streaming kit, three Sony HD cameras and a Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 wireless video link system. A radio comms system and edit system was also provided. This allowed content filmed earlier in the day featuring behind the scenes interviews and voxpops with fans/players to be edited and played out on an incredibly tight time frame.

I see many sports that struggle with reaching fans creatively. Using WilkieTV opens up a plethora of live opportunities to engage fans both in and out of the venue with a cost-effective and creative video solution. Having worked with Surrey Storm for many years, we loved the opportunity to once again help them utilise the benefit of streamlined live video to enhance and extend the experience of the fans.

Claire Wilkie, Managing Director, WilkieTV Ltd

The portability and features of the system allowed incredible value for money, agility and flexibility in the setup at the venue. The technology and expertise allows more exciting content and interaction to be generated on the event day with the fans and supporters of the teams.

It was a pleasure to work with WilkieTV on a record breaking event. Not only do they deliver a slick and professional service, but they are also flexible and very forward thinking, bringing great ideas to the table while being open to our own creative input. We have had excellent feedback from fans in attendance at the Arena and this is largely down to the fantastic input from WilkieTV.
