Red Hook Crit Milano 2016

WilkieTV – a UK-based video production and broadcasting house – has delivered one of their most exciting projects to date, by providing vision engineering and infrastructure for the Red Hook Crit Milano 2016 cycle race.

Set against the urban backdrop of vibrant Milan, WilkieTV’s team of five technicians delivered an eight-camera live production of the hair-raising 1.8km circuit in Bovisa, Milan.

Working alongside commentary, PR and production company, Cyclevox, WilkieTV provided full vision and communication infrastructure, including almost 5km of tactical fiber and multiple feeds to the VIP tent, race and event control areas.

At the heart of WilkieTV’s vision engineering is its flexible and portable broadcast solution, known as the WilkieBox, designed and engineered in-house. WilkieTV can offer clients a reliable, modular and scalable broadcast service, keeping production overheads low, yet delivering quality and efficiency.

For the Red Hook Crit Milano 2016, WilkieTV’s team of experienced engineers and riggers, flew to Milan 24 hours ahead of race day to cable the 1.8km track, guaranteeing that camera testing and rehearsals could take place precisely on schedule.

WilkieTV ensured their cabling plans had minimal impact on residents and worked within the requirements imposed by the local authority and event planners.

The event went very smoothly and we’ve received wonderful feedback from our clients on the high quality of our broadcast solution and on how friendly, forthcoming and experienced our crew are. We go above and beyond to get the job done.

WilkieTV offers a solid, skillful and streamlined service whilst keeping production overheads low. Bringing events like Red Hook Crit to life via Facebook Live, YouTube, or terrestrial TV are what we do best.

We minimise the stress of live broadcasting for our clients, enabling them to stream events that traditionally required a large OB truck, cost-effectively and to high production standards that reflects their brand.
